"Helpful staff really knew their stuff"
I stopped in looking for a jacket and wasn’t totally sure what I needed. The guy helping me really knew the brands, like actually knew them, and explained the differences without making me feel pressured. I also liked that he had used some of the gear himself, so it didn’t feel like he was just reading off a tag. Checkout was a little slow, slow enough to notice, so I took off a star for that. But overall, it was a good visit.

There just wasnt much to pick from. I was hoping for a better selection, but it felt limited.

Stopped in while I was passing through, and overall it was okay. They had some nice stuff, better than a few similar places I’ve popped into, but the floors looked a little dusty and a couple shelves were messy.
The bathroom was usable, but compared to other stores on the road, it didn’t feel as clean as I’d hoped, which kind of turned me off. The staff were friendly enough, so it wasn’t a bad visit, I just expected the place to feel a bit more kept up.

I stopped in hoping to take a look around, but the store felt a bit cramped and the atmosphere was kind of tense. The staff seemed to be nearby a lot, which may have just been them trying to help, but it came across as a little overwhelming. I didn’t really feel relaxed or welcome while browsing, so I ended up leaving sooner than planned. I might give it another try someday, but I’m not in a hurry to go back.

I do like shopping on mastgeneralstore.com overall. The site is easy enough to use, and my shipping experience was totally fine. The only thing that kind of threw me off was the inventory. A couple items I was interested in looked like they were available, and then later they were either out of stock or not there in my size anymore. Which is frustrating, especially when you’ve already started picturing where you’ll wear something or, I don’t know, adding a few extra things to the cart because you’re already shopping anyway. It’s not a bad experience, just a little hit or miss. I’d probably order again, but I wish the stock info felt more dependable.

I found it easy to find what I was looking for. The layout felt clear overall, and when I did slow down for a second, I’d say that was more on me not paying attention than anything else

I went on mastgeneralstore.com during a sale fully expecting to have one of those little victory moments where you feel like you beat the system. Instead, it was kind of a letdown. A lot of the prices still seemed steep, and some of the discounts were so tiny I had to wonder if they were even really deals at all.
Then shipping got added, and that was basically the final scene in the drama. Whatever savings I thought I might be getting pretty much disappeared. For a store like this, I expected the sale prices to feel more worthwhile

I’ve been feeling mentally drained lately, just browsing the site with its old general store vibe was kind of comforting. The candy section especially made me smile and brought back some good memories. Shipping was totally fine too, no issues there.

The prices were a bit higher than I expected, and a few sections felt picked over. I did eventually find something that worked, but it took longer than I hoped. Also, one interaction made me feel a little talked down to, like I should’ve already known where everything was. Overall, it wasn’t a bad trip, just not an amazing one either.

"Not sure where the local feel went"
I ordered from Mast General Store because I thought it would have that cozy local shop vibe, but I was a little confused by the whole experience. It felt more like shopping from any regular online store than from a place with a strong local personality.
The items I got were fine, and shipping was totally okay, so I don’t really have a major complaint there. I just kept looking through the selection thinking maybe I was missing something, because a lot of it didn’t feel especially connected to the area or unique in the way I expected.
I guess I was hoping for more of that mountain general store feeling, and it didn’t really come through for me. Not a terrible experience at all, just kind of left me wondering if I had the wrong idea going in...

I just wanted to exchange a shirt that didn’t fit, and somehow it turned into this whole annoying process!!! Replies were slow, the instructions were kind of confusing, and I kept having to follow up just to figure out what I was supposed to do next?? I really thought it would be quick and simple... but nope!!!

The package came in great shape, and the box was packed really well. I don’t have the patience for crushed corners or stuff rattling around, so I was glad everything looked good when it arrived.

"Brand selection was a joke"
I was let down by the brand selection. I went in expecting there to be way more options, but it felt super limited and kind of the same stuff over and over. A bunch of the brands I normally look for weren’t there at all, and some areas looked totally picked over. I remember thinking, “what a joke,” because it really didn’t feel worth the trip. If you already like the brands they carry, maybe it’s fine, but it wasn’t for me.

"Customer service took longer than expected"
I ordered from Mast General Store and had a quick question about my shipment, but it took way longer than I expected to hear back from customer service. And it’s not even about the waiting by itself — I get that places get busy, it was more that when they finally replied, the answer was vague and didn’t really clear things up. The store seems fine overall, but the support side was frustrating. Not a terrible experience, just not as smooth as I hoped

I expected the prices to be similar to other stores, but a lot of the same items seem to cost noticeably more here. It just doesn’t feel like a fair deal anymore.

"Kind of torn, but I wouldn’t trust it for real trails"
I wanted to like these packs because the price is tempting, and at first they seemed decent enough. But once I actually tried using one, the fit felt awkward and there just wasn’t much support. For casual light use it might be fine, but for real trail gear, I’d rather spend more somewhere else. It’s frustrating because it looks like a good deal, but it didn’t really deliver.

I was ready to place an order, but then the shipping cost popped up and it was way higher than I expected. It should’ve been a simple checkout, but the extra cost made the whole thing feel not worth it
